ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS

Daniel Freeman

Daniel Freeman is a filmmaker based in Berkeley, California. He is currently a FilmHouse resident within the SFFILM artist development program. His debut feature Teddy, Out of Tune has been selected to the Maryland, Mill Valley, and Bushwick Film Festivals. He is currently in development on his second feature film, If You Hum at the Right Frequency, about an experimental artist residency set in the woods of northern California. Daniel blends fiction and documentary approaches to create a hybrid style rooted in following earnest characters as they attempt to find healing through art and human connection.

Drew Connick

Drew is an actor and writer based in Los Angeles. Shortly after receiving his BFA from USC’s school of theater, Connick began acting professionally in a variety of independent projects. In 2018, he played the lead and only role in the award winning docufiction short Still Moves. The following year Drew secured a role as St. Vincent’s drummer in the music-industry based mockumentary feature film, The Nowhere Inn, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Teddy, Out of Tune is Drew’s debut feature as a writer and producer.
